I hesitate to review this place because it is such a lovely off the beaten path spot in Cape May! The beach is beautiful and secluded. The water is nice as the beach is located in the Delaware Bay side of the cape and typically the water is nice for swimming although keep in mind there are no lifeguards posted here. Also a nice spot for finding Cape May Diamonds!! It is a dog friendly beach! With dogs allowed it would be great for visitors to use some etiquette and common sense with their animals though, not everyone is a dog lover or wants your furry friend wandering around them unattended! But there are always going to be those people and by and large most people and their dogs are responsible!

Off the beaten path go early to get a parking spot long pathway to the beach be prepared for a hot sand walk. The beach is nice has some pebbles not crowded very friendly people and is also very dog friendly so be prepared for dogs free parking no immunities no restroom. No food bring everything you need. It’s a picnic on the beach all by yourself. Highly recommend.

Thought it was a nude beach, but didn't see any nudes. Kept the clothes on to not get in trouble. I did see a cactus !!

There was a break in the weather so took the opportunity to take a walk on the beach. We got there in time to watch the ferry depart. Not very busy ( which was a plus!) there was a handful of people taking a stroll with their dogs or just laying out in the sun. I heard it was a good place to find sharks teeth but came up empty. Water looked clean and so was the beach. I'd love to come back in the summer, although I'm sure this place gets packed! There are a couple of parking lots available but beware it is bumpy, drive slow.

So happy we found this place! Dog friendly, everyone super respectful! Brough our dog away as she has cancer and had already finished 5 months of chemo and unfortunately she came out of remission. There is nothing she loves more than swimming so we booked a trip and tried this beach out! We were very nervous as sometimes she isn’t great with other dogs (she has been attacked in the past from off leash dogs) but this place was great, yes dogs were off leash but every owner we encountered would leash they’re dog and keep a reasonable distance from us, and ask permission for dogs to meet or continue to walk. So respectful very very happy with out experience

A very nice beach to visit with your dog for a quieter walk. The beach is not really for swimming especially with young children as it gets very deep quickly & in the summer the sand flies are viscous. Lovely views and quiet but more for walking than playing and relaxing

Dogs are welcome. Bay side. No lifeguards. There are railroad tracks that emerge after a good storm uncovers them through the sand. They don’t stay visible long so get there quick. Start at higbee and walk down toward sunset beach, maybe half way is where I spotted them. They’re closer to the water than to land. If you ever see someone post about them being visible get there quick bc they don’t last long and don’t happen often!

Beautiful beach, lots of beach rocks, crabs and the water was warmer than at sunset and wildwood which was more enjoyable for me personally because I cannot tolerate colder water very well. It also seemed to be less crowded as well but still offered a nice view. The sand was rockier and the water was deeper though so it's harder to walk barefoot in the sand...
